The Development Of Blankets In China

- Nov 17, 2020-

The blanket industry in China has developed like a prairie fire. It has developed rapidly in the past fifteen years and has become the world's blanket production base, with its output ranking first in the world. In the early 1980s, state-owned Raschel blanket manufacturers, represented by Guangdong Meiya, Mudanjiang Blanket Factory, Daqing Blanket Factory, etc., introduced more than 20 automatic production lines from Japan and started the upgrading of Chinese blanket products. Replace the previous wool blanket with Raschel blanket. In the early 1990s, Taiwanese-funded acrylic blankets, represented by Guangdong Kunqing and Shanghai Huangdu, processed and made blankets in accordance with the process of producing plush fabrics, making acrylic blankets very good in terms of feel, luster, and brightness. The big increase, and the investment in the production line is significantly lower than that of the Raschel blanket production line, so that more private enterprises have the ability to invest in blanket products. Industrial bases were formed in the coastal areas of Guangdong and Zhejiang, and good profits were obtained. At the end of 1997, Hebei Baoding Meiya Textile Co., Ltd. took the lead to build a factory in the north and began the production of acrylic blankets. The result was a failure to collect. Within three years, the company was in Lixian, Gaoyang and Anxin in Baoding area. Dozens of blanket factories have been established in the county, and they have developed rapidly to form a large-scale production base. The output has leapt to the forefront of the country, occupying most of the domestic market share, making coastal manufacturers turn to foreign countries for export. But in recent years, Hebei blanket companies have also shifted from domestic sales to foreign markets, making Chinese blankets dominate the world. The raw material is gradually shifting from acrylic to polyester, and the process is improved very rapidly, and it has an increasing share in foreign markets. The blanket industry in Japan, South Korea, Hungary and other countries is gradually declining. Acrylic blanket manufacturers have gradually changed from manual platen printing to automatic flat screen printing. The product quality and quantity have improved rapidly. For example, Zhenai in Zhejiang and Shenghao in Shandong have an annual production capacity of about 20,000 tons of finished products. Exports to the Middle East countries are the largest. In Jiangsu, the manufacturers represented by Changshu Jinxiu, Taicang Qinyi and Nantong Huayin Plush Products Co., Ltd. mainly export to Japan. Nantong Huayin's composite carpets are very popular in the Japanese market. In Heilongjiang, China Austrian blankets in Mudanjiang, Yajia blankets in Jiamusi, and Jinhuang blankets in Daqing take advantage of geographical advantages, and most of them are single-layer blankets, which are exported to Russia.
